Marriott International Receives Insurance Payment Related to September 11 EventsWASHINGTON, Dec 04, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via Comtex/ -- Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) said today that on December 2 it received a $36.25 million payment from the property insurer for the New York Marriott World Trade Center hotel. Marriott International, the operator of the hotel, received the payment in connection with the loss of the hotel and the settlement of all outstanding matters related to the events of September 11, 2001.
